Published on July 3, 2013

The Autorité des marchés financiers certifies the Japan Credit Rating Agency, following the conclusion of cooperation agreement with the Japan Financial Services Authority.

Certification of Japan Credit Rating Agency

On 6 January 2011, The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) granted certification to the Japan Credit Rating Agency, Ltd. (JCRA), in application of European Regulation n°1060/2009 on Credit Rating Agencies. Ratings issued by JCRA may therefore be used for regulatory purposes within the European Union without the Agency having a physical presence in Europe.

Cooperation agreement

This cooperation agreement notably includes provisions on exchanges of information between the authorities and coordination procedures for supervision activity.
