Get into the right habits when investing your money - The INC and AMF launch a new information campaign

The French National Institute for Consumer Affairs (INC) and the AMF have teamed up once again to help retail savers get into the right habits when investing their money. A new five-programme series will explore key areas, including deciphering financial product advertising; knowing what to do when faced with an investment that may look exactly like a financial product but is not actually one; measuring the impact of expenses on a product’s final return; and identifying people or firms that are not authorised to sell financial products.

Programme topics:

  • Programme 1: Investment product expenses
  • Programme 2: Deciphering financial product advertising
  • Programme 3: Guide to crowdfunding
  • Programme 4: Do unusual investments make for risky investments?
  • Programme 5: Introduction to financial investment advisers 

 

The programmes will be aired beginning 12 November 2013 across the France Télévisions broadcasting network (France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5 and France O), and the videos are posted on the websites of the AMF www.amf‐france.org and the INC www.conso.net.

France Télévisions broadcast times: 

  • France 2, Monday to Friday at 1:45 pm
  • France 3, Monday to Friday at 10:45 am, Saturday at 10:15 am
  • France 4, Wednesday at 12 noon, Saturday at 10:15 am and Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30 pm
  • France 5, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:55 am, Wednesday at 10:20 pm and Saturday at 9:50 am
  • France O, daily at 12:15 pm
