AMF mystery shopping in 2013

Following two initial mystery shopping campaigns in 2010 and 2012, the AMF has repeated the exercise in 2013 using the same scenarios (“risk-loving” and risk-averse) plus one new scenario (an employed young person wishing to invest directly in equities). Through this mystery shopping, the AMF is seeking to assess, over time, the extent to which prospects are asked appropriate questions and offered relevant commercial proposals.

Joint AMF/NYSE Euronext seminar: The Stock Exchange and SMEs

The AMF and NYSE Euronext held their fourth annual joint seminar today in Marseille, France. Exploring the theme of “The Stock Exchange and SMEs”, the event, which attracted around 100 participants, was geared to help companies, advisers and intermediaries get a better understanding of the mechanisms used to raise funds on the markets.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) have launched a public consultation on crowdfunding

In conjunction with the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the ACPR and the AMF have launched a public consultation on crowdfunding. The consultation focuses on changes to be made to the legislative and regulatory provisions of the Monetary and Financial Code, the AMF General Regulation and the ACPR/AMF joint doctrine on non-guaranteed investment services in order to facilitate the development of crowdfunding, while ensuring the security of the system for investors. The consultation will be open until 15 November 2013.

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers publishes its 2013 report on Corporate Governance and Executive Compensation in listed companies

For the tenth consecutive year the AMF has drawn up a report on the disclosure and corporate governance practice of 60 listed companies that refer to the AFEP-MEDEF Code. The report also provides an opportunity to take due note of the improvements made to the new version of this code, published in June 2013, and the points to be watched in future.

The AMF and the National Consumers Institute (INC) sign partnership agreement to provide consumers with information about financial products and services

For the past three years, the AMF and INC have been developing a fruitful partnership, in particular by producing the Consomag television series. Having concluded a very positive assessment of these information campaigns, the INC and the AMF have decided to pursue their relationship by signing a partnership agreement to produce additional materials to inform and train consumers about financial products and services.
